Literacy & Numeracy

All Year 7 students and students new to the school are tested for Literacy and Numeracy skills in Term 1. In Years 7 to 9, Online testing also occurs for Maths and English throughout the year.

During Term 1 of Year 7, the classroom teacher is assisted by the Learning Support Coordinator to conduct initial screening tests. Students can also be referred by individual classroom teaches for assessment and then assistance.

Learning Support staff are able to work in the classroom or withdraw students individually or in groups for assistance and coaching as the need arises.
